  • :: 2019 TLEA  Annual Meeting will held on Saturday, August 3, 9:00 to 11:15am at the Station House Community Center in Oxford (corner of King St. & Rte. 121). The public is invited.
  • :: 2019 Ice Out Contest Numerous people correctly guessed April 22 as the official ice out date. This year's winners are: Tom Doyle, Jane and Mark Conley, Ellen Guenthner Tierney, Beth Mac Callum, Guy Roberge, Andy and Kathy Toolan and Paul and Kathy Cain. Here's the list of past Ice Out dates on Thompson Lake.
  • :: TLEA awarded $10,000 grant from Franklin Savings Bank as the top vote getter in Oxford County for the FSB Community 150 program. The funds will be applied towards our on-going milfoil eradication campaign. Thanks to all our members and friends who voted; and thanks to Franklin Savings Bank!

  • :: 2018 TLEA Annual Milfoil Report.Highlights of 2018 include the second year of a major push to clear 10 acres at Pine Point using benthic barriers. Approximately 5 acres have been covered so far. To fund this effort and continue on going monitoring lake wide, TLEA is in the second year of a Capital Campaign to raise $500,000. Please help us with your contributions!
  • :: Boat Identification Stickers for non-motorized water craft can be found in the Clynk bin, front steps of the TLEA Office located on Pleasant St., Oxford.
  • :: Sale of invasive plants banned in Maine As of Jan. 1, 2018, 33 invasive plant species may no longer be sold, imported to or propagated in Maine. Non-native species can crowd out local wildlife and disrupt ecosystems. Help stamp out invasive species by removing these pests.

  • :: CLYNK RECYCLING PROGRAM to benefit TLEA.  The"CLYNK" program at Hannford's is a convenient way to help TLEA's environmental programs. The special green bags can be found in a plastic bin located on the back steps at the TLEA office, 163 Pleasant St. Oxford.
