The Thompson Lake Environmental Association held its Annual Meeting on August 1st at the Station House Community Center in Oxford from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The event brought together TLEA members to learn more about our conservation efforts, have conversations, and hear from a keynote speaker.

Attendees received a detailed 2026 Program Reports highlighting each of TLEA’s programs and accomplishments. The meeting featured a keynote presentation from Jordan Kimball of the Maine Department of Environmental Protection’s Non-Point Source Training Center. Jordan’s presentation focused on natural methods for shoreline stabilization and protecting lake health through sustainable practices.

A roundtable discussion with program leaders from LakeSmart, Youth Conservation Corps, and Invasive Species Management followed, along with a question-and-answer session. As always, the meeting included refreshments, merchandise sales, raffles, educational materials, and an opportunity for members to connect with one another.

TLEA thanks everyone who attended and continues to support our commitment to protecting Thompson Lake.
