We’re excited to share that the Thompson Lake Environmental Association has been selected as a nonprofit partner in the Hannaford Community Bag Program. During the month of April 2026, every time a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Hannaford store located at 50 Pigeon Hill Road in Mechanic Falls, Maine, $1 will be donated directly to TLEA.
About the Hannaford Community Bag Program
The Hannaford Community Bag Program, also known as the Hannaford Helps initiative, was created to support local nonprofits while encouraging the use of reusable shopping bags. Each month, Hannaford selects a different community organization to benefit from the program at participating store locations. Shoppers can support these organizations simply by choosing the reusable Community Bag at checkout. This program helps reduce single-use plastic waste while providing meaningful financial support to nonprofits working to improve their communities.
